Ali Carubia Creates: Visible Image

This week I'm using the fabulous Totally Toadstools stamps and coordinating dies from Visible Image. My mother in law is currently in hospital recovering from a fall and her all time favourite colour is green so I made her this get well card. Here are a few steps by steps 💚💚💚...

Cut a piece of white stamping card 5 1/2" x 5 1/2". Lay the Glitch Numbers stencil over the card and use low tack tape to hold it in place,

Lightly brush a little Mustard Seed and Twisted Citron Distress Oxide over.

Tap a black paint pen over the panel to add a few paint splatters.

Use pva glue or double sided tape to attach this to black card leaving a 1/4" border.

Fix it to the front of a white 7" x 7" card blank using pva glue.

Stamp the Get Well Soon sentiment from Go To Words onto black card and heat emboss with white embossing powder.

Stamp some toadstools and grasses from Totally Toadstools onto white card using black versafine ink and clear heat emboss.

Then use the Co-odinating dies to cut them out.

Colour in shades of green/blue using your favourite watercolours, I used Derwent Inktense pencils as they are extremely vibrant and light fast.

Move them around the card until you are happy with the layout, curl them a little using your fingers then attach with 3d glue gel.

Draw a couple of intersecting lines around the edges of the card using a black fine liner pen. And add little curved lines all going in the same direction.

Fill in every other section with a black brush pen so it looks like a stripy ribbon.
Tim down and attach the sentiment using sticky foam pads. Split it into two, if it fits the space better.

Add white highlights using white acrylic ink or a white gel pen.
