Visible Image - Fearless Tiger

I've been playing with the fab new tiger stamp from Visible Image called Fearless Tiger which is being released on March 19th 2021. I had a ball making this card - shiny metallic polish, matt black gesso and the stunning, stunning tiger stamp.

Cut a piece of heavy stock white card 6" square, load up a stamping platform with the tiger stamp and stamp the image onto the centre of the card with black versafine ink just once to show where the tiger will be going.

Leave the tiger stamp in place on your stamp platform  for later.

Lightly spritz your stamped card with water and then apply some of the red and orange Cosmic Shimmer Metallic Gilding Polishes up to the edge of the tiger and over the rest of the card.

Dry your card with your heat gun then wipe it over with an anti static bag.

Stick your card back in your stamp platform and restamp the tiger image with black versafine until you have a nice solid black image.

Then heat emboss with clear embossing powder.

Your card will look a bit like this - probably better than mine if you didn't paint over his ears 😀

Pour a little black gesso into a scrap foil container

Tape the Visible Image Fibre stencil over the your card and stencil a little black gesso  over the metallic background, allowing the gesso to dry before moving the stencil to a new part of the card as the stencil is slightly smaller than your card.

When the gesso has dried, paint in the tigers face using an orange watercolour pen and a damp brush.

Paint the eyes with green and yellow and repaint in any  white bits using white acrylic paint or a bleed proof white ink.

Pat your anti static bag over the tigers face then return your card to the stamp press.

Use a gold or any other pigment ink to ink up the tiger's mane, avoiding his face then heat emboss with gold embossing powder.

Use a sponge to apply a little glycerine or versamark ink around the edges of the card and  then heat emboss with gold embossing powder.

Use the remaining ink left on the gilding polish applicators to colour the edges of  a square of white card just over 6 1/2" square and also scrap of white card for the sentiment.

Attach your tiger card onto black card with a 1/16" border and then onto your coloured card with approx 1/4" border.
Then attach onto another black card layer with approx 1/4" border and finally onto a white 8" x 8" white card blank.

Using your stamp platform again, stamp the Fearless sentiment onto the coloured scrap with back versafine ink and heat emboss with clear embossing powder, repeat inking and heat embossing a second time so it is really glossy.

Cut out the sentiment, sponge a little black gesso around the edges then attach it to a piece of black card, leaving a border of approx 1/8" and fix to the bottom right of your card with double sided foam tape.

Finally apply glossy accents to the tiger's eyes and glue a few sequins on the background.

Here is my finished card.

I hope you have enjoyed this project and thanks for stopping by ðŸ’–,
