Visible Image - Inky Christmas Tree

Good afternoon, not long until Christmas although it will be a little different for us all this year.
Today I'm sharing how to make this inky Visible Image Christmas card using distress oxides and the fab O Christmas Tree stamp from Visible Image.

To start you will need to cut a piece of white 300gsm card to 5" x 5".

Squish some ink from your distress oxide pads onto your craft mat and spritz with a little water. Use your fingers to mess it up a little.

Press your white card into the ink and dry the card with a heat gun. Spritz the mat with more water and repeat. Add more ink if you want it a little darker.

Sprinkle a few drops of water onto your dried card, leave for a few seconds and pick up with a paper towel. Dry your card with a heat gun again.

Wipe over your card with an anti static bag. then stamp the large tree in the centre of the card with versafine black ink. You can use a stamping mat to over stamp and get a solid black image. Heat emboss the tree with clear embossing powder.

Stamp the little stars stamps over the background with the black versafine ink and heat emboss with clear embossing powder. Stamp over the edge of the card in some places.

Stamp the bubbles stamp over the background with versamark ink and heat emboss with white embossing powder.

Cut the central square out of the card approx. 3 7/8"  x 3 7/8".

Apply a little Black Soot Distress ink around the edges of the central square to give it a vignette.

Then
matt these both onto black card, the inner square with a border of about 1/8" and the outer with a 1/4" border.

Check that the two parts match up before attaching them to a white 6" x 6" square card blank. You could raise the central square using double sided foam tape. I glued it flat to save on postage.

Colour the centres of the stars with a white gel pen and add a sparkly highlight to the Christmas Tree, circles and words.

Here is my finished card. You can use different colours of ink and embossing powders to get a different effect.

I hope you have enjoyed this project, thanks for stopping by,
