Visible Image Snowflake Sparkle

Happy Tuesday again, these weeks are flying past. Today I'd like to share how to make this sparkly pink card using Visible Image's Christmas 2020 stamps. These are due to be released on Friday, 18th September.

It doesn't take long to make the card and you could change the colour scheme if you are not a fan of pink

Cut a piece of white stamping card 6" x 3"  and wipe it over with an anti static bag.

Take the large snowflake stamp from the Visible Image Simply Snowflakes set, ink up with versamark ink and stamp it 3 times across the card. Once slightly off the LHS, the second off the top middle of the card and the third off the bottom, RHS of the card.

Cover with white embossing powder, tip off the excess and melt with a heat tool.

Then blend Picked Raspberry Distress ink all over the card.  My ink pad is a little dry so I add a tiny drop of glycerine onto the blending foam to give it a bit more slip.

Ink a little extra around the edges to give it a vignette.

Pick up some water with a brush (fan brush is really good for this) and tap it over your pink card. This will add some texture to your background by faux bleaching.

Leave it a few seconds and then use paper towel to pick up the water.

Leave your card to dry or use a heat gun to dry it from the back, so you don't overheat  the embossing.

Mount your card onto a 6" x 3 1/4" piece of black card so there is a black border at the top and bottom.

Take the words stamp from the Visible Image Christmas Backgrounds and ink up the word Christmas with Picked Raspberry distress oxide ink. You could use sticky notes to mask off the other words or just wipe off the ink that you don't want.

Stamp onto the bottom left hand side of a 6" x 6" white card blank.  Heat emboss with clear embossing powder.

Stamp the word "happy" from the Classic Christmas stamps and heat emboss with clear embossing powder as before.

Using a ruler and a fine black liner pen, draw some lines around the words to add a little more interest.

Add caption

Attach the pink topper to your card bank about 3/4" from the top.

Use a quickie glue pen to fill in the open parts of the snowflake, working on about two prongs at a time, cover with glitter and press down to get optimum contact.

Add a couple of black gems to the top RHS to finish.

Here is my completed card 😎....

I hope you have enjoyed this project, thanks for stopping by,
