Rainbow VI Leave Your Fears Behind

Tuesday 18th August 2020

Happy Tuesday, it's my turn for blogging on the Visible Image DT and I have quite a simple card to show you with a splash of colour, lots of white space and glossy black embossing using one of my favourite stamp sets - Leave Your Fears Behind.

I've used Kuretaki Zig Clean Colour Pens but any water based markers will work.
Cut a piece of white stamping card about 5 1/4" x 5 1/4".

Scribble some colours on your craft mat in lines using your card piece as a guide. I used purple, pink, orange, yellow, light green, light blue, dark blue and purple.

Spritz water over the coloured section so that all the colour beads up.

Place your white card piece over the colour so that the left hand edge is inked and press down.

Carefully peel back from one side

Dry your card with a heat gun

Stamp the large tree/bird from the Leave Your Fears Behind with Versafine Onyx Black ink.

As it is a large stamp, use a stamping platform so you can ink up and re-stamp until you have a solid image.

Cover the stamped image with clear embossing powder and tip off the excess.

Use a heat gun to melt the embossing powder leaving a glossy raised finish.

Stamp the sentiment on the right hand side and heat emboss with clear embossing powder as before.

Use black and white card to matt and layer your piece. The edges on my card are black - 1/16", white 1/8" and black 1/4" and  fixed to a 7" x 7" white card blank.

Here is my finished card.

I hope you have enjoyed this project, thanks for stopping by,
Ali xxx
