Visible Image Iridescent Dare To Swim

Gosh these weeks are flying past, except for the last couple which have dragged a bit after I broke my ankle, lots of limping about and a distinct lack of crafting going on. Managed to make this quick card this afternoon and my ankle is back on elevated rest 😌.

I've used the fabulous Visible Image Dare to Swim stamp set to make this underwater scene and coloured the Portuguese man of war with my Arteza metallic watercolour paints.

To make this card create an A6 landscape card by cutting an 300gsm white A4 card sheet in half lengthways, score in the middle and fold giving you a tent fold card approx 6" x 4".

Wipe over your card with an anti static pad.

Stamp the larger jellyfish in black versafine ink, use a stamping platform if you have one and overstamp to get a solid black impression.
Then heat emboss with clear embossing powder.

Stamp the body of the jelly onto a sticky note and cut it out to make a mask.

Mask off the body of the jelly.

Fix your card to your craft mat using masking tape and tape the Fibres stencil down over your card with the top of the stencil over the top of the card.

Apply a little of the Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide over a few parts of the stencil, avoiding the card edges.

Repeat with the Broken China Distress Oxide.

Flip the Fibres stencil over and line it up with your inked card to fill up the base of the card.

Going to stamp over this bottom bit so no worries about any lines from the stencil.

Keeping the mask in place, stamp the fish shoal over the card using Broken China Distress ink.

Stamp the seaweed in black versafine ink, starting from one side and varying the height as you go.

Heat emboss the fish and seaweed with clear embossing powder.

Stamp the bubbles with black versafine and clear heat emboss as before.

Colour your stamped images, I used pink, coral and yellow metallic paints on the jelly, green on the seaweed and peach on the bubbles.

So many choices of colours, I want to do another one with a purple/blue jelly now 😄

Cut a strip off an A4 sheet of vellum, just over 1" wide. Wipe it with an anti static pad.
Stamp the "Beauty goes..." sentiment using versamark ink and heat emboss with white embossing powder.

Position the vellum sentiment strip at the base of your card and fold the edges around the card front, fix to the inside with a little double sided tape.

Your finished card will look at bit like this...

I hope you have enjoyed this project and thanks for stopping by ðŸ’–,
