This is my last Visible Image blog post for 2021 and I've chosen my favourite things, a beautiful tree from the Tree of Life stamp set, metallic polishes through the awesome Words of Support stencil and some triple embossing 😎 xxx
Cut a 90mm x 90mm square of white 300gsm card.
Apply metallic gilding polish over the card, spritz a little water on the applicator foams to help them blend together.
Dry with a heat gun
Cut a 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" (138mm x 138mm) piece of black card.
Position the Words of Support stencil over it and tape down if required.
Use a palette knife to pick up some of the yellow gilding polish and apply over the stencil, like buttering toast,
Clean the palette knife and repeat with the pink polish - blending the colours in places.
Remove the stencil and leave to dry naturally.
Stamp the tree from the Visible Image Tree of Life stamp set onto the centre of your coloured panel with black versafine.
Use a stamping platform and over stamp to get a really black impression.
Heat emboss with clear embossing powder,
Colour the leaves with a gold sparkle gel pen.
Cut up the panel into 9 equal 30mmx 30mm pieces.
Take a square, press it onto the versamark ink pad, dip into clear embossing powder, tip off the excess and then heat emboss.
Use tweezers or a pokey tool to hold the square in place while heating.
Repeat until all 9 squares have been clear embossed 3 times.
Arrange the squares back into position.
Cut a piece of black card 98mm x 98mm.
Use pva glue to stick the corner pieces into position leaving a 2mm border.
Glue the remaining squares into place.
Lay a heavy book over the top if the edges are curled up.
Stamp the sentiment onto white card and clear heat emboss. Trim and edge with metallic polish. Fix to a black card mat with a border of 1/8" (3mm)
Matt and layer the triple embossed panel onto white card with a border of approx 1/16" inch (1.5mm).
Use pva glue to attach the background to a white 7" x 7" card blank.
Fix the triple embossed panel and sentiment with 3d foam pads.
Add a couple of clear adhesive stones to the top right corner.
